the  Caouette
MUSIC  SCHOLARSHIP
was developed by the Caouette family in memory of
Bernie Caouette who passed away in June, 2006,
from cancer.  Bernie, a retired Captain from the
Acton (MA) Fire Department, was builder of
Caouette Banjos .  
This scholarship is available to deserving students
wishing to further their education in a Music career
and/or children of fire department personnel.

We held the 1st Bluegrass Benefit Show in Oct, 2006, that was an overwhelming
success!  With the proceeds from that show & the many generous donations received,
we have been able to award six $1000. scholarships in the first year!

A 2nd annual Benefit show held in Oct, 2007, was another success.
